New to Lincoln Little League

New to the Lincoln Little League.

Whether your child is 4 years old starting Teeball for the first time or 8 years old moving to Lincoln the requirements are the same.
First, you will need to create a family profile on our website: www.lincolnrilittleleague.org Next, you will register your child.
Complete your registration with a payment via credit card (debit card), PayPal or mail a check.
You will then need to mail a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate, along with two proof of residency (and check) to:

Player Agent - Baseball (or softball)
422 River Road
Lincoln, RI 02865

*Examples: Copy of parents Drivers license, utility bill, lease, mortgage or tax bill with Lincoln, RI address. If you do not have access to a copy machine, you can go to the Lincoln Library to make copies.

Equipment: helmets, bats, tees, balls are provided by LLL. However you may wish to have your own bat, helmet, and balls for at home practice. Players must have their own glove. Uniforms are provided and must be worn to all games including shirt, pants, hat. Cleats for younger kids are not necessary. Sneakers are best in Teeball they Single A 4-7 year olds). Kids step on each other & cleats hurt. Cleats for 8 year olds plus.

Tryouts:  All children ages 7-12 must tryout to determine division and/or team placement.  Tryout dates will be sent via email and posted on website.  Typically tryouts are held at Ken Ryan Baseball in late March.

Divisions by age

-Teeball: 4-6 year olds that have never played Teeball. Players are taught the basics of Teeball- Hitting off the tee, throwing, fielding, running the bases, proper bat holding technique, determining which hand to use, socialization with kids their age, listening to their coaches via fun games.
Note- there are not formal games against other teams in Teeball. Time- Saturday mornings for ~ an hour. Date - tbd Mid April.  Fields: K of C (Wilbur Rd) and Lonsdale School.

-Minors A Instructional: 6-7 year olds (boys and girls) that have played one year of Teeball or are in Kindergarten /1st grade with some experience equivalent to Teeball. This division is instructional - Kids learn all the same skills as Teeball, in an instructional game setting. Kids hit off the tee, use softee balls, wear helmets. Note - kids play games in Single A Instructional against other teams.
Coaches will stop the play to instruct kids how to hit, hold the bat, catch a ball, etc. Time: Expect 2-3 days per week. Schedule set by coach
Fields: Knights of Columbus (Corner of Wilbur & . Limerock (across from Lincoln Middle School Lincoln Woods (off Great Rd Entrance).
Date: Late March

-Minors AA: 7-8 year olds same Similar to instructional. First half of season, tees are used with softee balls & second half of season coach pitch. Time: Expect 2-3 days per week.  Fields:  Little Fenway and Lime Acres (Lime Acres Park)

-Minors AAA: Ages 8-10.  6 inning regulation Little League games.  Expect 2-3 days per week 
Fields:  Sam Moore (Lonsdale School) and Little Fenway

-Majors: Ages 10-12.     6 inning regulation Little League games.  Expect 3 days per week   
Fields:  Albion Park and Hien Field (Lonsdale School)

-Softball:  Girls ages 8 - 12.  USA Softball.  Fields: Sullivan Field
